【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversmetalinsertfittingswithsplitringandcompressionnut(compressionjoint)andmetalinsertfittingswithcoppercrimprings(crimpjoint)forfoursizesofcompositepressurepipe.Thesefittingsareintendedforusein125psi(690kPa)cold-andhot-waterdistributionsystemsoperatingattemperaturesuptoandincluding180F(82C).(Whenusedinpolyethylene/aluminum/polyethylenesystemsthemaximumoperatingtemperatureislimitedbythepipeto140F(60C)andwhereapplicable180F(82C)).Includedaretherequirementsformaterials,workmanship,burstpressure,sustainedpressure,excessivetemperatureandpressure,temperaturecyclingtests,andmarkingstobeusedonthefittingsandrings.Thefittingscoveredbythisspecificationareintendedforuseinpotablewaterdistributionsystemsforresidentialandcommercialapplications,waterservice,undergroundirrigationsystems,andradientpanelheatingsystems,baseboard,snow-andice-meltsystems,andgasesthatarecompatiblewiththecompositepipeandfittings.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIvaluesstatedinparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposes.Note18212;Thetablesshowthe"nominalsize"inmillimetreswiththeinchsizeinparentheses.Thisexceptionismadetoharmonizethe"nominalsize"withthetwopipestandards,F1281andF1281.1.3Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section9,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
